ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip Name Appears in Google ARCore List

Google frequently releases lists of devices that are supported for its augmented reality platform, ARCore. Sometimes, this list usually includes unreleased devices. The newest ones include some of the smartphones which have not been released yet and some of them are already known.

Interestingly, from the list released by Google, the ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip has yet to be launched. The first time is 9to5Google which has published the latest list of supported ARCore devices. Inside there are several smartphones that we have heard of such as the Moto G10, Moto G30, and ASUS ROG Phone 5.

The ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip is the most attractive device on the list. This suggests that there will be the first foldable screen smartphone made by ASUS. Previous leaks revealed that ASUS plans to announce a smartphone with a small screen for the ZenFone 8 series.

The smartphone is said to have an OLED display measuring 5.9 inches and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Not a few doubted that this device would arrive as the ASUS ZenFone 8 Mini. However, until now ASUS has never commented on that.

However, this latest leak from Google’s list shows that small screen smartphones are not the only things that make us excited about the presence of the ZenFone 8 series. Yes! The Taiwanese tech giant who controls the notebook market will also have a foldable smartphone.

Unfortunately, Google’s listing does not include the specifications. So, the features and support on the ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip are still a mystery. However, there’s nothing wrong with hoping that a few weeks or months before the smartphone launch, more leaks will appear.
