What is the difference between the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Fold?
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is better than design or performance
Last year the Samsung Galaxy Fold was officially released as the first model of Samsung’s folding screen smartphone. And in early 2020, there will be another variant with a cheaper price called the Galaxy Z Flip. Then just yesterday, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 was present as the latest generation with the most qualified specs.
Even though it has the same folds as the Samsung Galaxy Fold , there are several differences that can still be recognized as a physical differentiator between the first generation and this newest generation. Likewise with the specifications offered, it has improved considerably.
On the front, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 now no longer comes with large bezels or bangs as was known in its first generation. Because the selfie camera is implemented in a punch hole, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S20 series.
The screen used is the Dynamic AMOLED 2X (Y-OCTA), specially designed for folding devices and is coated with the same flexible glass “Ultra Thin Glass” as the first generation Foldable Screen Smartphone . However, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is claimed to be thinner, but with better durability.
There are still 3 sensors behind the camera, but the combination is different, namely the latest generation uses 12MP + 12MP telephoto + 12MP ultrawide sensors. And for cellphone shells, previously used glass, but now it is coated with a matte texture to prevent fingerprint marks on the cellphone.
The performance is clearly better, because the Galaxy Z Fold 2 already uses Snapdragon 865+, while its predecessor uses Snapdragon 855. Then the 200 mAh power problem is bigger. And this latest generation also supports 25W fast charging, 10W better than the previous generation.
The operating system that runs the same, namely Android 10 with One UI 2.5 layer. The price issue for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is still unknown. Because Samsung will only reveal it when it comes to the market on September 1, 2020.
